Hornets and wasps can be a real danger. Here are the signs that should alert you:
Regular traffic of wasps or hornets always following the same path, going in and out of the same point. A sure sign that there is a nest nearby.
A dull, continuous buzzing coming from the loft, a roller shutter box, a wall cavity or a false ceiling. The nest may be hidden and very large.
A grey papier-mâché nest under eaves, in a tree, on a façade or in a garden shed. Asian hornet nests can reach 80 cm in diameter.
Wasp or hornet stings on residents or pets. Multiple stings are dangerous and can cause anaphylactic shock in people with allergies.
We use professional techniques adapted to each situation for safe destruction.

This is strongly discouraged and dangerous. Wasps and hornets become extremely aggressive when their nest is threatened and attack in groups. Without professional protective equipment, you risk multiple stings that are potentially dangerous, even fatal in the event of an allergy. Always call in a professional.
Nests are active from spring to autumn (April to November). The colony reaches its peak in summer (July-September), sometimes with several thousand individuals. The earlier the treatment, the simpler and less dangerous it is. In winter, the nest is abandoned and will not be reused.
The Asian hornet is smaller (2.5-3 cm), with a mainly black abdomen marked with a thin orange band and legs that are yellow at the tips. The European hornet is larger (3-4 cm), with a yellow abdomen striped with black. The Asian hornet is more territorial and attacks in groups, which makes it particularly dangerous.
The price depends on the species, the size of the nest and how accessible it is (height, roof, tree). We offer a clear quote over the phone once you have described the situation. The treatment can be carried out the same day in an emergency. Some local authorities contribute to the cost for Asian hornets.
Close off access to lofts and wall cavities with grilles. Protect roller shutter boxes. Avoid leaving food outdoors. Treated nests are never reoccupied, but new colonies can settle nearby if conditions are favourable.
Remove the sting if it is still there, disinfect and apply something cold. Watch for signs of allergy: significant swelling, breathing difficulties, feeling faint, dizziness. In the event of an allergic reaction, call 15 (SAMU) immediately. People with known allergies should always keep their adrenaline auto-injector kit within reach.
